The Meccanica Taraschi is an Italian automobile manufacturer,
founder of the brands Urania, Giaur and Taraschi, active from 1947 to 1961.
Established in Teramo from Berardo Taraschi, at the end of the Second World War,
the Meccanica Taraschi start building small competition cars.
This one-off racecar build at 1954 for a French driver Jean Grusset
for a speed records in long and medium distance races.
The tubular chassis made by Taraschi in Teramo.
In this special racecar fitted a supercharged low capacity 750cc GianninI DOHC engine (G2)
with amazing power 115cv about 113.3hp.
With this aerodynamic aluminium handbuild body
the car reach about 225 km/h on the road
